Phoenix Avalon was the violinist that won the strings competition of the the Jackie McGehee Young Artists Competition.  Phoenix had to leave right after the awards because of his tour schedule, so we decided to have his session at Bicentennial Park in Santa Fe.  The day was marvelous and I was honored to have a private concert while he played during our session.

Phoenix has played at Carnegie Hall and can be heard on You Tube playing the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in E Minor.
